Starshot: Space Circus Fever is a platform game for the Nintendo 64 and for Windows. It was released by Infogrames in 1998 in Europe and 1999 in North America. It is one of the few games on the Nintendo 64 to feature 16:9 widescreen.
Plot
Starshot is a star juggler for the Space Circus, which is directed by Starcash. When the Space Circus ship sends the Missile Parade down to the Planet Tensuns to advertise their circus, the missile is blown up by three robots. Starcash sends Starshot, along with his partner Willfall and his rocket down to Tensuns to find out who destroyed the rocket. Starshot discovers that the rival circus Virtua Circus is the cause of the destruction of the missile. Starshot finds a way to deactivate a force field around Virtua Circus' spaceship legs and destroys the legs with the help of a few sharks, sending Virtua Circus away from Tensuns.
Once back on the Space Circus' Ship, the circus is approached by a representative of the intergalactic bank to inform Starcash that if he doesn't pay back his loan to the bank within ten days, he along with his ship will be annihilated. Starcash sends Starshot down to the planet Killer Expo to find a detection device to get new acts for the Space Circus. Starshot finds the detection device and it is used to find different things for acts for the Space Circus. Starshot is sent to four other planets, which are: Primitron, Ultimacrash, Technomummy and Earth.
On Primitron Starshot is sent to find the 'Surprise Laying Bird'. Virtua Circus gets to the bird first and destroys the bird before the Space Circus can use it in their act.
On Ultimacrash Starshot has to find the ghost dog. Ultimacrash is a planet which is inhabited by ghosts. Starshot gets the mutt and it is used for the Space Circus act
On Technomummy Starshot has to find the 'Malfunction Machine'. Technomummy is a perfect planet where there are no flaws in systems anywhere. Starshot gets the machine and it is used in the Circus act
On Earth Starshot has to find the 'Last Remaining Earthling'. Earth is in ruins after being attacked by aliens and only one Earthling has survived. The Earthling is found and is used in the Circus act. (Note: to get to Earth the player must collect 100 mega bonus fuels)
Starcash pays back the loan to the bank representative with the money made with the new acts only to discover that the representative was in fact a Virtua Circus robot. Virtua Circus now tries to destroy the Space Circus Ship. Starshot is sent to deal with Virtua Circus where he battles with Virtua Circus director Wolfgang Von Ravel. After Starshot defeats Von Ravel, Von Ravel begs for mercy from Starcash. Starcash decides not to kill Von Ravel. Starcash leaves and instead, Starshot is captured by Wolfgang. Sharshot is last seen in a cell in Virtua Circus ship as the ship floats into space aimlessly.
