First time I click save page, and the page reloads asking for a reCAPTCHA. After filling out the reCAPTCHA, the page reloads telling me I'm adding to many links in rapid succession and asks me to click save once more if I'm adding something serious. Clicking save once more reloads the page asking for yet another reCAPTCHA, and after that it reloads with the "adding too many links" message again. It continously goes back and forth between the two, and never actually gets to the point where it's saving my contribution. {{unsigned|84.202.106.243}}

== HTTP 500 error when trying to log in on a computer ==
== Partnership proposal ==

Since Monday's maintenance, I have received an HTTP 500 error (or white screen in both Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome) every time I have tried to log into the site from a computer (but not a mobile); has anyone else been having this problem? The only possible reason for it that I can think of is because I have used the site's "Whale" skin since the abolition of its former standard "BlueCloud" one in 2012, and it no longer works correctly. :Whale should still be mostly working. There were some problems with logging in until Monday morning, but those should be resolved. Can you try switching to Dolphin temporarily and see if that fixes it? -- [[User:Prod|Prod]] ([[User talk:Prod|talk]]) 13:11, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
::I (hopefully only temporarily) switched to Dolphin from a mobile, then tried to log into the site again from a computer, and it has indeed fixed it; I also tried previewing all the other skins in [[Special:Preferences]] and it only seems to be the "Whale" one that brings up an HTTP 500 error or white screen. However, I prefer to have the search box and navigation bar at the top of the page as opposed to its left side, so hope the "Whale" skin does not have to be abolished, as I have used it since being automatically updated to it seven years ago. :::Something must have broken in the Whale skin due to the update.  Does it happen on all pages, or only some? -- [[User:Prod|Prod]] ([[User talk:Prod|talk]]) 17:02, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
::::I am afraid that it happens on all the pages; if you substitute the "X" in <nowiki>http://strategywiki.org/w/index.php?title=X&useskin=whale</nowiki> for the name of any page, including that of a non-existent one, in the address bar and try to visit the page, the result will be the same: an HTTP 500 error (or a white screen). [[User:Namcorules|Namcorules]] ([[User talk:Namcorules|talk]]) 19:00, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
:::::Thanks for the details! I'll look into fixing it, but it may take some time. -- [[User:Prod|Prod]] ([[User talk:Prod|talk]]) 19:06, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
::::::Whale skin should be fully updated and working now.  Please let me know if you encounter any issues. -- [[User:Prod|Prod]] ([[User talk:Prod|talk]]) 17:02, 3 August 2019 (UTC)

== Email change and email confirmation are broken ==

# When trying to change one's email, the strategywiki.org site never confirms success.  It just displays a cursor arrow with an animated spinner that spins forever.  However, by logging out of strategywiki.org, clearing the browser cache and clearing the cookies, and then logging in again, it ''eventually'' accepts the email change.  These contortions should not be necessary, and indeed, are not necessary at Wikipedia.org, which uses Mediawiki software.
# After changing the email. the site requires confirmation of the email address before the address is activated for sending notifications.  However, clicking on the "Mail a confirmation code" button doesn't do anything.  The cursor arrow and spinner run for several minutes, after which the button is replaced with the message "Confirmation email sent", but no message ever appears in the target inbox.  Again, this should take at most a few seconds, not several minutes.  The wiki may be attempting to send a message, but the process eventually times out and sending fails, but it posts a success confirmation message instead of a failure notification.  Something has been misconfigured in this wiki.

== ReplaceText request ==

Could someone do Special:ReplaceText for the following:
*"The King of Fighters Tales of Ash Collection/Characters/" to "The King of Fighters Ash Saga/"

*"The King of Fighters NESTS Collection/Characters/" to "The King of Fighters NESTS Collection/"

*"KOF: Maximum Impact/Characters/" to "KOF Maximum Impact/"

If not, I understand. -[[User:BrownDerby|BrownDerby]] ([[User talk:BrownDerby|talk]]) 15:30, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
:Is this just to fix redirects, or do you need the pages moved as well? -- [[User:Prod|Prod]] ([[User talk:Prod|talk]]) 15:58, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
::Just to fix the links. -[[User:BrownDerby|BrownDerby]] ([[User talk:BrownDerby|talk]]) 15:59, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
:::Done. -- [[User:Prod|Prod]] ([[User talk:Prod|talk]]) 16:18, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
