The Legend of Dragoon/The Forest

After you left Seles follow the dots and enter the Forest. Here you'll come across random encounters. When you're walking around you'll see an arrow about Dart's head. If it's red then prepare to fight. The colour will go from blue to red as you walk/run. If you want to lessen the random encounters you might want to buy some Charm Potions from the merchant right where you entered. Don't forget to go to the menu, select items and use it! The merchant will sell BurnOuts, Charm Potions, Body Purifiers and Healing Potions to you. You can also sell items to him if you want. He'll also explain how to use items if you want to. Body Purifiers will nullify certain status effects, but don't bother buying them since no monsters in this area or the next one use status effects.

Go to the upper screen for the exit, but first go in a passage right to the exit for a chest that contains a Healing Potion, then exit the screen. Go up the log and open the chest for a Charm Potion then exit the screen below. Here you'll enter a small maze. Just explore the place until you find the exit. There are also a few chests along the way. From here on it's just straightforward running with no chests. Before you exit the Forest it's recommended that you're at least level 3, 4 if you can.
