At this point, you can't warp, you can't go back and you can't save at all since this section is the finale. You'll be encountering planets and unique monsters you have beaten earlier, as they pass off as spirits which should be easy to handle.
After clearing the second trip through Prison Island, you are warped to the final area of the game (referred to in the game's files as "Memory Space"). At this point, you can't return to any previous location and you can't save at all since this section is the finale.

Dealing with Zanza involves three stages and the fact that you can't daze him. The first involves his crew which also deals with chain attack. The next stage is straightforward. The third involves Shulk having the true Monado. Use that to give him the final blow.
==Memory Space==
The area consists of four sections which feature "Spirit" versions of past bosses from the game: Metal Face, Xord, the Telethia from Makna Forest, and Gadolt. While these enemies have most of the same attacks as their normal counterparts, none of them have any of the special properties related to them (for example, the Spirit versions of the three Mechon can be damaged normally by any weapons), allowing them to be quickly defeated.

The final cutscene involves the things that happened before, between Zanza and Meyneth, out in space where the big bang happened. Alvis is a computer and Shulk decides to live in the world without gods. You'll see another cutscene from a point of view from Fiora before revealing herself as human again. Of course there would be credits as well.
==Zanza==
After defeating these enemies, the party is taken to the Sentient Genesis to battle Zanza. The boss battle with Zanza consists of three stages. The first is a straightforward battle against Zanza. After his health is depleted, Zanza will transform himself into a larger and more powerful form, beginning the second part of the battle. For the first two phases of the battle, the party cannot see visions normally; instead, you must correctly time a button prompt (similar to the Burst Affinity prompts) in order to see a vision. For the final phase of the battle, Shulk gains access to the True Monado (or "Monado III") and can properly see visions again.

If you dread of starting a new game and doing everything again, don't fret! There's a new game plus with few exceptions worth mentioning, your character levels, branches and party affinity carries over, including the true Monado and also clothes your team is wearing at the last moment. Along with other things that can be carried over but the map, quests and many others will be reset. When you finish choosing what you want, don't forget to save so the next time you play, you won't have to sweat it anymore.
Zanza is able to be toppled, but cannot be dazed. During all three stages of this fight, he will spawn two Zanza Guardians, replicas of himself that will also attack the party. The Zanza Guardians can use all of the arts Zanza used during his first battle (with the exception of Monado Buster), and Zanza's "Party" is capable of using Chain Attacks.

==Ending==
The final cutscene involves Shulk destroying Zanza once and for all. Alvis then speaks to him and reveals the truth about their world: that in another universe, Zanza and Mayneth scientists taking part in an experiment to create a new universe, which destroyed their universe and recreated it as the world of the game. The scene ends with Shulk deciding to create a world without gods. The following cutscene follows the perspective of Fiora as she looks around the reborn Colony 9 for Shulk, revealing that she is fully Homs again.

==New Game+==
After the credits, you are given the prompt to create a "New Game+" save file. New Game+ carries over character levels, arts, skills, and party affinity. Other things carried over include:

*All weapons and armor equipped when Zanza is defeated
*Up to 30 other chosen weapons
*Up to 30 other chosen pieces of equipment
*Up to 60 chosen materials
*All other items currently in the inventory
*Collectopaedia progress
*Achievements

Progress such as maps, Colony 6 reconstruction, and quests, however, do not carry over and are reset for New Game+.

After clearing the second trip through Prison Island, you are warped to the final area of the game (referred to in the game's files as "Memory Space"). At this point, you can't return to any previous location and you can't save at all since this section is the finale.

Memory Space

The area consists of four sections which feature "Spirit" versions of past bosses from the game: Metal Face, Xord, the Telethia from Makna Forest, and Gadolt. While these enemies have most of the same attacks as their normal counterparts, none of them have any of the special properties related to them (for example, the Spirit versions of the three Mechon can be damaged normally by any weapons), allowing them to be quickly defeated.

Zanza

Ending

The final cutscene involves Shulk destroying Zanza once and for all. Alvis then speaks to him and reveals the truth about their world: that in another universe, Zanza and Mayneth scientists taking part in an experiment to create a new universe, which destroyed their universe and recreated it as the world of the game. The scene ends with Shulk deciding to create a world without gods. The following cutscene follows the perspective of Fiora as she looks around the reborn Colony 9 for Shulk, revealing that she is fully Homs again.

New Game+

After the credits, you are given the prompt to create a "New Game+" save file. New Game+ carries over character levels, arts, skills, and party affinity. Other things carried over include:

  • All weapons and armor equipped when Zanza is defeated
  • Up to 30 other chosen weapons
  • Up to 30 other chosen pieces of equipment
  • Up to 60 chosen materials
  • All other items currently in the inventory
  • Collectopaedia progress
  • Achievements

Progress such as maps, Colony 6 reconstruction, and quests, however, do not carry over and are reset for New Game+.
