Welcome to Dakar 2. This is not your regular race. It's a rally involving tricky curves and bumpy straights through dirty tracks and rainy conditions. Here are a few features unique to this game:

  • Countdown: You've got to finish the course before the time runs out! Try not to crash your vehicle or you'll waste valuable time finishing the race.
  • Cars, trucks and bikes: Normally with most games, it's usually just cars but each vehicle has its own unique style in ways you can handle the terrain in every course.
  • Checkpoints: It's normal in rallies that you know how far you have complete the race. This is important because if you do get lost, you can check how close you are to the finishing line.
  • The Desert: There are a few races in which, the only way to cross the desert is using a GPS or a radar which will direct you with an arrow pointing you in the right direction.
  • Reputation: Despite a few other vehicles in the race with you, this is primarily a solo race because with each checkpoint, you'll be ranked whether you're ahead or behind the race with the clock ticking down.
  • Tuning your vehicle: Unless you prefer a straightforward vehicle taking you from A to B, you better consider the condition of the track and tune it to give you a more comfortable way of controlling your vehicle. Feel free to experiment.
  • Repairing your vehicle: This is the danger of racing in rallies. Unless you got a very good vehicle with great speed, you also need time to stop and quickly clear the damage or else it would cost you more time and make your vehicle harder to control.
