Level 21: Feel the heat![edit]

  • 2 minutes, 100% of 20 lemmings, release rate 70

Send a climber to the right; have him build from the right edge of the steel block holding the flamethrower. If the ramp is going past the exit, dig when it is immediately above the exit. If the builder falls safely into the exit, the ramp is properly built.

Send another climber up; make him mine from near the right edge of the bricks, so he hits the steel and turns around, then mine to the left to give the others a path.

Level 22: Come on over to my place[edit]

  • 5 minutes, 80% of 50 lemmings, release rate 1

This is the same as Fun 27: Let's be careful out there, except that (amongst other things) you only have one blocker.

Use your blocker at the right of the entrance platform. Build across the gap on the left; mine a tunnel to turn the lemmings around, then build as soon as it's long enough. Build over the next gap. As soon as a lemming lands on the steps at the right end of the screen (before he steps up to the topmost one), dig, then when the hole is deep enough to prevent any movement to the right, build. Build over the gap.

Level 23: King of the castle[edit]

  • 5 minutes, 95% of 80 lemmings, release rate 40
This level can be completed with 100% lemmings saved

Cultural note: the name of this level refers to a British children's game involving the winning child climbing to the top of something, and then declaring his victory with "I'm the king of the castle!"

This level is difficult as you have no blockers, and for some reason the "wall of ramps" technique doesn't seem to work on this level (at least, not on the Windows port); also there are only 20 builders, and you can only afford to lose four lemmings. The "can save 100%" claim is based on a YouTube video, which appears to be of the Amiga original; I don't know if this applies to any other version.

When the first lemming is about to fall into the pit, start him building; likewise with the second and third ones. By the time the fourth comes, the bridge will span the gap. Have a lemming (or several) build from the very left edge of the gap to the bridge, to seal the gap, then build to the floor above when about halfway between the wall and the thin steel column below (the void in between is empty in the Windows version, filled with lava in the version shown in that YouTube video). Start the next ramp above the middle of the entrance, and the one after just above the halfway point of this one. Build a short ramp to seal the gap to the left of the next floor, then start the ramp to the floor above just over the corresponding ramp on the floor below. Another short ramp to seal the last gap, then a final ramp to the exit floor, and all that's left is to watch the lemmings get home.

Level 24: Take a running jump.....[edit]

  • 3 minutes, 98% of 80 lemmings, release rate 50
This level can be completed with 100% lemmings saved

Use as many builders as it takes to bridge the gap above the exit without losing any. The moment the leader has clambered down the rock to the floor below, start him building a landing ramp, and continue this until it extends under the ledge above; while this is happening, up the release rate to 99. Finally, build from the chain to the exit. Honestly, this level should have been in Fun or Tricky.

Level 25: Follow the leader...[edit]

  • 4 minutes, 90% of 80 lemmings, release rate 20
This level can be completed with 100% lemmings saved

When the second lemming reaches the juncture of the last-but-one and last humps, you will need to do three things in quick succession: start the second lemming bashing to the right through the base of the last hump, start the first lemming building from just to the left of the rock hanging down above this hump, and start the third lemming bashing to the left through the last-but-one hump (you may need to do the last two the other way around). Allow the two bashers to cut through at least half of their humps, so the trapped lemmings aren't too tightly packed together; otherwise the last step of this level may be too difficult to pull off. Once all this is accomplished, up the release rate to 99. When the exit ramp is built, you should still have one builder left; use this to climb out of the tunnel to the ramp.
