A developer of PC games, many of Looking Glass' titles received critical acclaim, but most of them sold poorly. Their best known titles included Ultima Underworld, Thief, and System Shock (ex-Looking Glass employees were among the developers of Bioshock, said to be a spiritual successor to the System Shock series), as well as the sequels to these titles.
Looking Glass closed their doors when they had financial difficulties with their publisher, Eidos Interactive.
