Character classes[edit]

Theoretically, they are six, but actually they are just three:

  • A telepath can use five psionic powers.
  • A mentat can heal other characters.
  • Ranger, astronaut, pirate, and xeno-sociologist are functionally identical, without any skill.

Character attributes, race, gender[edit]

  • Life points: the current amount affects the success rate of any action. Life points can be lost in combat or as a result of some actions. If they get to zero, the character dies.
  • Race: it determines the sprite.
  • Gender: unused.
  • Constitution: unused.
  • Strength: during character creation, a value of 15 of higher is necessary for a Ranger. Afterwards, it remains unused.
  • Intelligence: during character creation, a value of 15 of higher is necessary for a Telepath. Afterwards, it remains unused.
  • Knowledge: during character creation, a value of 15 of higher is necessary for a Mentat. Afterwards, it remains unused.
  • Dexterity: during character creation, a value of 15 of higher is necessary for a Pirate. Afterwards, it remains unused.
  • Charisma: during character creation, a value of 15 of higher is necessary for a Xeno-sociologist. Afterwards, it remains unused.

Parties[edit]

Idris' party[edit]

Suggested party[edit]

1 telepath and 3 mentats

Oméga, planète invisible is actually the same if played with a single character or four. Let the three mentats sacrifice themselves for the telepath at the beginning of the game.

The main requirement to complete the game is to earn 3000 credits and purchase an asteroid detector. If you control a single character, you have to feed and heal up just one character instead of four!

As soon as the game starts:

  • Each mentat should spend his/her 50 silver coins on antidotes, that will be given to the telepath and drunk by him/her; spend the remaining 10 credits on 5 portions of energy.
  • Each mentat should eat his/her 20 portions of energy, then...
  • Each mentat should heal the telepath until they use up all their life points.
