Edgar's Strategy[edit]
Edgar prefers close-range and ice-based attacks that freeze your buttons:

Edgar has a very simple strategy: grab capsules, go in for attack, go back for more capsules, repeat. Generally, Edgar will come at you with short-range attacks and you can see them coming a mile away. If he doesn't use a ranged attack as soon as he gets in range then he probably won't. He uses ice attacks a lot so try not to let any of them slip through. They will freeze your buttons and turn you into a sitting duck for a few seconds. Edgar's close attacks aren't particularly accurate though, so in desperation you may be able to jump out of the way. His defenses are fairly good, with Glacial Wall at his disposal, so attacks cannot be made at random. Beware of Aura Backflow and Aura Leak. If you stand around, waiting for him to attack you (thus accumulating aura), he may hit you much harder than you expect.
Your Strategy[edit]
At this stage players can choose their own set of skills. Therefore, there may be many different strategies.
Brush and Strike Strategy[edit]
There's nothing special about this strategy, just throw him off balance with a brush and attack when he's stunned. You obviously don't want to take any hits from him and if you go on the offensive (i.e. attack him first) you may have your buttons frozen by Glacial Wall or you may be stunned by Protect. Only attack first if he runs out of attack skills in his arsenal (not likely as his arsenal is mostly offense) or if you have something strong enough to break his defenses. In case he has Aura Backflow equipped, use up some of your aura before he gets to you. If your arsenal is heavy on aura then you can become your own worst enemy here.

Lazy Strategy[edit]
You don't have to win the battle to complete the mission. If you're having a hard time and just want to move on let Edgar defeat you. To my knowledge your winning or losing has no effect on the rest of the game.
