Kirby is a light character, so he flies far, but using his five jumps and Final Cutter, he can recover from a really bad fall. if you go to Flat Zone, hang by the edge and Inhale, then spit off your opponents. He also has creative and unusual throws and tilts, whuch can be taken advantage of with his surprisingly high grab range.

Annnd....... uh, holy shit, that seems to be it. Kirby is anything BUT a good character. He is THE (nearly) undisputed, single most absymal character in the game. Even when compared to the likes of Roy, Mewtwo, Zelda, and even Bowser, and Pichu, this guy is still f**king abominable.

Let's dive in. Kirby has never EVER heard of the word approach, which becomes more apparent once you see his (or lack therof), which is absolutely and completely unsalvageable. Let's see, bad SHFFL, wavedash that fails everywhere, a dash attack that's useless, poor range in general, slow dashing speed and ATROCIOUS aerial speed (it's the 3rd worst) and no useable projectiles, kirby can never approach anyone for the life of him, especially not people with strong pressure games like Marth and Falco.

Oh, but let's be generous, and assume he makes it to the opponent. He still cannot combo people. At all. His aerials are shit except for back and up air (the latter being his only reliable KO move that isn't laggy, inferior to similar moves, short ranged, or all of the above), and his only combo is the Fence of Pain (a blatant rip-off of Jigglypuf's Wall of Pain that, like all ripoffs, is inferior to the original, this time due to his air speed).

Also, his signature (Kirbycide) kinda sucks. Up throw requires specific placement at the edge of a stage, and Kirby loses always in last-stock scenarios. Forward and Back throws always result in a win for Kirby if used in a last-stock scenario, but are the only throws in Smash that can be broken out of (and really easily, too)

And lastly, his recovery is really bad despite his multiple midair jumps, because of his air speed, and Final cutter graning bad recovery range. I could go on and on and on, but I'm just about out of time. Just don't play this puffball who lost all his Smash 64 glory.
