Cosmo Gang: The Video/Stages 29-33: Difference between revisions

Once the background has faded back in (and your ships have flown back up into view from the bottom of the screen), [[Cosmo Gang: The Video/Getting Started#Don Cosmo|Don Cosmo]] will materialize on the throne in the background, then rise into the air, and fly into the foreground as thunder crashes ([[Splatterhouse]] fans may also notice that he is wearing an inverted cross around his neck); he will then speak out: ''Wōhohhohhohō! Yoku zo koko made kita na, me ni mono wo misete kureruwaru.'' (ウォーホッホッホッホー! よくぞここまで来たな、 目にものを見せてくれるわ.) in the Japanese version. The stage's theme will then begin to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151 (as his green life bar appears at the top of the screen) and he starts causing the ground (and ships) to shake as rocks fall down from the top of the screen - and once you've fired enough shots at him to drain the life bar, any rocks currently on screen will disappear, and he will speak out ''Kō shakunā, watashi no shin no chikara wo omoishire!'' (こーしゃくなー、私の真の力を思い知れっ!) in that Japanese version. His second (blue) life bar will then appear at the top of the screen as turning flames come down from the top of the screen to make a complete revolution (clockwise for red, and anticlockwise for blue, and you will also have to deal with four Dodongadon at this point), once they have reached your ships' level; once you have fired enough shots at him to drain his second life bar, any turning flames currently on screen will disappear and he will speak out ''Kono, kowappame! Mō yurusan!'' (この、こわっぱめ! もう許さん!) in the Japanese version. His third (yellow) life bar will now appear at the top of the screen as thunderbolts fall from the top of it - and you will also have to deal with eight Type 1 Jammers at this point. Once you have fired enough shots at him (to drain his third life bar) he will speak out ''Saigo no kōgeki wo...O mimai shite yaru wai!'' (最後の攻撃を...お見舞いしてやるわいっ!) in that Japanese version; his fourth (red, & final) life bar will then appear at the top of the screen as he starts firing stars at you (which can be repelled with a single shot). Once you've fired enough shots at him to drain his fourth (final) life bar the song that you were hearing from the Yamaha YM-2151 will suddenly stop as he explodes and speaks out ''Dōwāāāa!'' (どーわああああああ!) in both versions - and both players will then receive a "Used Ship Bonus" (the maximum of which is 10000000, but will get decreased by 1000000 at every death; if either player died more than 10 times they will not receive it). The text "NICE CLEAR!" will then appear on the screen as the "stage clear" theme is heard from the Yamaha YM-2151, and the ships fly up off the top of the screen - and you can now sit back and enjoy the ending, which shows Don Cosmo's space station, which resembles the Death Star (and formed the background for Stage 30) exploding into twenty-five pieces:
