Speed Race GP-5 (also known as Speed Race CL-5) is a racing arcade game, that was released by Taito Corporation in 1979; it is the fifth title in their Speed Race series, and the player must (for a fifth time) utilize a steering wheel and gear shifter to take up control of a car with a single pedal to make it accelerate. This time, you shall have to watch out for water slicks on the track - and your car now has headlights, which will turn on when it is about to enter a tunnel. The track will also split into two paths, when your car is passing over a bridge; you will have to choose which path to take quickly, otherwise you shall crash and be sent back to the start. This "SR" title also introduces "emergency" cars, which have flashing lights on their roofs - however, they must be avoided like any other CPU-controlled car.
