Armour[edit]

Armour is found in chests throughout the game that require both dragons to open. Each armour piece provides a boost to the wearer, but only whilst it is being worn. There are three types of armour: helmets, tails and bracers. These run horizontally on the armour screen. In addition to this, the armour is divided into three sets, which run vertically. The sets make no impact on the minor bonuses, but if all three pieces of the same set are worn they grant an additional effect. These are more powerful than the minor effects, but only last whilst all three pieces are being worn. The effects of every armour piece of Spyro's armour are shown below:

Spyro's Armour Helmet Tail Bracers Bonus Effect
Offensive Increased melee damage Increased attack speed Increased chance to disarm Nuclear hit
Defensive Increased defence Wounds attacking enemies Regenerating health Immune to stun
Fury Increased chance to combo Increased fury duration Increased fury power Fury power

Spyro's offensive armour is geared towards boosting melee attacks. The Toxic hit bonus from this armour gives Spyro and additional hit during melee attacks which also does more damage. The immunity to stun from the defensive armour stops Spyro being knocked back when attacked, which can be useful against trolls and the elite enemies. With the fury breath bonus, press the breath selection button twice to select fury breath. With full mana the fury breath last about four seconds.

Cynder's armour Helmet Tail Bracers Bonus Effect
Offensive Increased elemental damage Increased attack speed Regenrating mana Toxic Hit
Defensive Increased defence Wounds attacking enemies Regenerating health Immune to stun
Fury Increased chance to combo Increased fury duration Increase fury power Fury breath

Cynder's armour is largely the same as Spyro's as both the defensive and the fury armour give the same effects and bonuses as Spyro's does. The difference comes in the offensive armour. This set enhances Cynder's elemental breath rather than melee attack. The toxic hit bonus is also different. This poisons enemies that are hit from Cynder's melee attacks. This lasts about five seconds but they will continue to be hit during this time so it keeps combos going and does extra damage.
