Carnival Chaos is the sixth level in Tornado Outbreak. Set within a small amusement park, Carnival Chaos is the second level to introduce a new ability for Zephyr, the Stone Stomp.

Plot[edit]

Flying towards their next destination for the retrieval of Omegaton's orb, Zephyr locates Nimbus' cape pinned beneath a rock with a warning scrawled on it. Ignoring it, Zephyr encounters the Stone Stomper, a large rock elemental who offers to lend Zephyr his power to aid in his destructive plan of capturing Fire Flyers.

Tutorial 1 Tasks[edit]

The level begins with a Stone Stomper waking up to greet Zephyr. The Stone Stomper explains that his species would like to provide aid in Zephyr by teaching him how to perform a powerful pounce capable of shattering objects within the area. The first portion of the tutorial covers the basis of Stone Stomping along with destroying objects with the ability.

  • Press Cross button to pounce
  • Pounce on trash cans

Tutorial 2 Tasks[edit]

Tutorial 2 covers the rescuing mechanic for the Stone Stomper. Completing the tutorial is straightforward. Perform a Stone Stomp enough times to wake up the sleeping Stone Stomper.

  • Pounce on Stone Stomper
  • Free Stone Stomper

Zone 1[edit]

Now that you've completed the Stomp tutorial, you're ready to test your ability on the Ocean Shores "Fun Park". Start off by leaving the pier dock and navigate your way towards the entrance to the park. At the front, you'll notice three small trashcans that contain Fire Flyers. You can choose to ignore them for now and prioritize growing in size, or you can just capture them if you're planning on completing the level. You'll eventually come across a section of flowers that are in between the small popcorn stand and the ticket booth. Perform a stone stomp on the flowers to quickly fill up the Category level of the tornado.

Once you've grown into a size three tornado, make your way toward the center of the map where you'll see wandering Tourists, Security Guards, Clowns, Women of Ill Repute, and lazy Seagulls. Collect them until you reach size five. As a size-five tornado, you're now able to pounce and demolish the pier dock along with the small boats surrounding it. Use this to your advantage, as destroying one will fill up the Category Level meter. By this point, you'll have around a minute left before the L.O.A.D. STARR's timer runs out. Maneuver your way towards the last ticket booth on the right and perform a Stone Stomp to expose the trapped Fire Flyer within the object. Then, use the grab move to initiate the chain collecting. Remember, you will need to keep grabbing Fire Flyers to reset the grab move's countdown. Otherwise, your tornado will dissipate, costing you precious time.

Once you've captured another Fire Flyer within the second ticket booth, you may notice that you'll be moving in a zig-zag pattern throughout the area. As long as you memorize this pattern for the front of the area, you should be able to grow into size nine and capture all the Fire Flyers before the timer expires.

Zone 2[edit]

Like before, you'll be placed onto a pier dock that you can leave to explore the rest of the area. Unlike the previous one, this one is quite larger and contain a few Fire Flyers trapped within the trash cans on the dock. Move forward, and you'll be able to collect a few seagulls to fill up the meter on the tornado's Category Level. You'll primarily want to target demolishing smaller objects such as fences and the bush hedges, as they'll quickly fill up the Category Level. Once you reach your ideal tornado size, make your way towards the second entrance of the theme park. The entrance will resemble an opening mouth with blue and black eyes and a set of upper teeth with a long tongue representing the stairs. In the back of the park, you'll find various little humans riding on miniature karts. Perform a Stone Stomp onto them to capture a handful of Fire Flyers that are hiding within them.

Every other rider typically contains around one Flyer and all together, you'll be capturing a total of nine Fire Flyers. Grow the tornado into a size five and make your way back towards the pier dock. Perform a Stone Stomp in either the center or end of the dock. Then use the grab move to initiate chain collection. By the time you've demolished the pier dock, you should be currently grabbing four Fire Flyers at once. Move toward the left section and you'll notice several wobbly cars that have Fire Flyers inside them. Use the grab move to capture the Fire Flyers that are hiding within the cars. Then, travel towards the side of the park's entrance and destroy the singular trash can containing the Fire Flyer. Whatever method you choose of capturing Flyers at this point will depend on how many Fire Flyers you've already captured within the area and the current size of Zephyr's tornado.

For a size eight tornado, prioritize chain collecting Fire Flyers that are hiding in ticket booths, statues, teacup rides and restroom buildings. Sizes nine through 11 are straight forward as by that point, all objects within the area are destructible once you reach size 11.
