Preload buttons[edit]

Here's what the buttons look like.

Hi, please use the preload buttons located above the edit text box when creating a new page. These buttons will insert the needed templates and formatting for you, which helps keep uniformity across the wiki. — najzereT 15:42, 10 September 2009 (UTC)

Image categorisation[edit]

When uploading images, please make sure to categorise them using the correct image categories and the guide-specific category, i.e. [[Category:Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance images]]. The image policy is viewable here, and contains all the information you'll need to categorise future uploads. --najzereT 15:35, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

Min template[edit]

When would a guide, which is supposed to be composed of static information, ever have need for a min template, which is typically used to evaluate dynamic information? Procyon 15:20, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

A min template can useful in doing static calculations. With the templates I've been working on for Fire Emblem characters, I want to calculate the average end game stats for each character. In order to do that, I have to do some math based on the characters' base stats and growth rates. Then, I compare that value to the maximum stat allowed by each character's class. The minimum of those two values is the value used. I made it a template just so I don't have to type out the logic repeatedly in several places and I hope that someone else can find it useful in the future.
