Welcome to StrategyWiki![edit]

Hello OhanaUnited! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide. If you have a question about the content on this wiki, you can check out our staff lounge page. If you want to ask questions or hang out in IRC, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the community portal talk page. Please remember to sign your name on talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field as this helps to document all of your hard work. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! -- RockyRally-X Rock.png (Talk - Contributions) 06:08, 1 June 2007 (CDT)

This is the general template used for welcoming newcomers (found at {{StrategyWiki welcome}}), so Rocky wasn't doubting your wiki markup abilities or anything like that, just following our policy to welcome newcomers. --SkizzerzTalk - Contribs 15:34, 1 June 2007 (CDT)

Show Preview[edit]

Hello OhanaUnited! Thanks for contributing to StrategyWiki! I'd like to point you to the "Show preview" button at the bottom of the edit page. When making an edit to a page, it is best to "Show preview" first. This way if there is something you want to change, you can fix it before saving the page. This in turn prevents clutter in the Recent Changes and helps sysops easily patrol edits. If you have any questions please feel free to ask at the Staff Lounge. Happy editing! --DukeRuckleyTalk | Contribs 21:22, 17 May 2008 (CDT)

Sorry, it wasn't meant to be insulting. The template is there to just point out features to new users (I don't tend to check wikipedia for whether or not someone is new to wiki-editing). In any case, it sounds like we'll be getting rid of the message for lack of use. Again, please don't take offense to that, there was none intended.--DukeRuckleyTalk | Contribs 12:22, 6 August 2008 (CDT)

RuneScape external links[edit]

Hi, if you think it may not be a good idea to have links to fansites at all, I'd support removing the entire section. I'm not a RuneScape player, so I don't know how helpful they may be though. - najzereT 00:35, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
