Welcome to StrategyWiki![edit]

Hello Taltamir! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide. If you have a question about the content on this wiki, you can check out our staff lounge page. If you want to ask questions or hang out in IRC, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the forums. Please remember to sign your name on, and only on, talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field as this helps to document all of your hard work. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! -- Sigma 7 13:20, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Editing guidelines[edit]

Here are some tips to help you better fit your writing style in with the wiki. First, you should look around and read some guides at stage 4 and stage 5 completion to get a feel for the tone and styles we use. For some specific pointers, don't put what we call drivel in your edits, meaning nothing in the first-person and nothing outside the game like editing notes or informal embellishments. Being a wiki, nothing is every "complete" so there's no need for placeholder headings or text on the page saying the page isn't done. If there isn't much of anything on a page you can put the {{stub}} template at the top above the {{Header Nav}}, or if you want to let people know you're continuing to add to the page or you're working out some formatting, you can put the {{wip}} template up there. Lastly, use the "Show preview" button next to the "Save page" button to preview your work before saving the page. This will allow you to make one large edit, instead of multiple small ones that clutter up the page's history and recent changes. That's all for now! Great job on the Cave Story guide, and thanks for considering our style guidlines. :) - najzereT 19:49, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
