Heroes of Mana/Bonus Maps

Bonus maps are generally unlocked when completing the related stage in the game's missions. Exploring the map can reveal hidden treasures, and completing the mission results in receiving various items that can be used in the game's missions.

This mission is fairly simple: split up and seek out every last enemy on the map. Do this as quickly as possible and victory is assured.

This mission is a little harder than the first, but time is not an issue. Take the time to move slowly ahead with the leader units while summoning gatherers to collect resources nearby. When the first two groups of enemies are out of the way (when the bridge is clear), it may be best to summon some more combat units to clear the area directly after the bridge. At this point, a tree nearby can be the new target for gatherers, and the Nightswan can be moved forward. More combat units will be helpful here to clear out the remaining enemies and finish the mission.

Arrows in the Moonlight

Treasure Found

5 Boreal Hounds and 4 Mushbooms come along to help the leader unit out on this mission. At first, this mission seems fairly easy, there are a large number of allies and the enemies are few and far between. Make sure to hunt down all of the enemies wandering arond the field before entering town. When finally going into the small town in the far corner of the map, it becomes much more difficult. Focus on the Sergeants and get rid of them to finish the mission without losing the leader unit and it can be done without defeating the large number of enemies crammed into this small area.

The toughest part about this mission at low levels is the time limit. Just finding all of the Sergeants can take some time while maintaining a large enough group of units to defeat some of the larger groups of enemies.

At low levels the best method for getting through this mission alive may be to simply build as many missile and heavy units as possible while working across the map. Getting the final few Peddan Sergeants will require missile or flying units as they attack with arrows from atop a cliff. This final group of enemies is fairly large (9 or so mixed units), and may require a couple of attacks and retreats.
