Baseball was the seventh game that Nintendo released for the Famicom. It was the second best selling Famicom game released during 1983 and 1984, selling approximately 2,350,000 copies in its lifetime, beaten only by Golf. It was converted for use in the arcades as Vs. Baseball as part of Nintendo's Vs. arcade series. It was the first baseball game for the NES. It was re-released for the Famicom Disk System, and later as a set of e-Reader cards for the Game Boy Advance. In 2007, it was released for the Wii Virtual Console.
