  • Neutral lstick - Controls most of Astro's movements both on ground and in the air.
  • Neutral dpad - Moves the camera
  • Neutral rstick - Propels Astro skyward and lowers him.
  • Cross button - Jump, a double jump will activate Astro's Rocket Feet.
  • Circle button - Fires the Digibeam
  • Square button - Interaction. Punching. Held down while in flight, activates Astro's turbo boosters in his Rocket Feet, or produce a spin attack while in battle.
  • Triangle button - Fires the Arm Canon. Also doubles as the back button.
  • L1 button - Lock on targeting
  • L2 button - Rotates the camera left.
  • R1 button - Activates Astro's X-Ray vision.
  • R2 button - Rotates the camera right.
  • R3 button - Causes Astro to make an abrupt landing.
  • Start button - The pause menu, here you eather go to Power Data, Controls, or Screen Setings.
  • Select button - First person view mode.
