Introduction[edit]

The Catacombs is the alternate version of The Caves, added in the Wrath of the Lamb expansion pack.

However, this level is much harder than its original counterpart.

Rooms[edit]

Regular Room

Catacombs 1: 9-12 rooms| Catacombs 2: 11-14 rooms| Catacombs XL: 20-26 rooms

Treasure Room

Catacombs 1: 1 room| Catacombs 2: 1 room| Catacombs XL: 2 rooms

Boss Room

Catacombs 1: 1 room| Catacombs 2: 1 room| Catacombs XL: 2 rooms

Cursed Room

It's possible for this room to appear on any floor.| Note: This door will damage the player for a full heart damage (both entering and exiting).

Arcade Room

It's possible for this room to appear on any floor (except Catacombs 1).| Note: This room will only spawn if the player has at least 5 coins while entering the floor.

Shop

Challenge Room

This room is not visible in the map without some specific items. However, the player can reveal it by bombing the middle part of a wall.

Enemies[edit]

Keeper

"Moving around the room, shooting 2 short-ranged blood shots in a "V" formation. Getting hit by its shots wil cause the player to lose some of his/her coins"
Tip: When they're shooting, make a line with them then stand completely still (but don't stand too close) as their split shots can't hit what is right in front of them.

B.Licker

"Attaches itself to other B.Lickers, erratically moving around the room. However, if one of the 'segments' is killed, the others will be seperated"
Tip: Stay far from them and try to take them out by group.

Gurgle

"Slowly walks towards the player, shooting short-ranged but accurate explosive shots at them."
Tip: Keep moving far from them and don't stay too close.


Boil

"Stationary enemy that shrinks upon being hit. Will quickly swell up if not killed in time. Firing multiple various-sized blood shots in medium range when fully swollen"
Tip: Keep your distance.
