==Chrono Trigger editing==
Whoa! So people still play Chrono Trigger eh? Glad to hear that. I'll be happy to help editing the guide, just tell me what to do since I'm new to StrategyWiki(joined 2 days back).[[User:Pupul07|Pupul07]] 23:01, 20 March 2007 (CDT)
OK! I've written Yakra XIII(was missing) and edited Retinite and Magus. Please check them and tell me if that's the way you want 'em to be.[[User:Pupul07|Pupul07]] 23:01, 20 March 2007 (CDT)
Damn! I'm so sorry....keep making one mistake after the other...>__<[[User:Pupul07|Pupul07]] 23:12, 22 March 2007 (CDT)
Yeah no problem! But the thing is, my final board exams for the 10th are going on now so I barely get any time...I'm able to open the PC when my mom's not around lol.[[User:Pupul07|Pupul07]] 23:39, 22 March 2007 (CDT)
I'm going to go through and fix the links later on to point to the corresponding character on the characters page, so it's easy to get quick info on a certain character mentioned in the walkthrough if needed. --[[User:VinceIP|VinceIP]] 15:20, 7 April 2007 (CDT)
== Comm Issues Revert ==
Hi Notmyhandle.  I reverted the edits because I ended up speaking directly to Echelon about it, and while he's very interested in pursuing the project, it opened up a logistical can of worms that need to be figured out.  He does not want to divide SW's focus at this time, and suggested opening a second wiki site for the purpose of documenting video game history, but issues were raised about how to share information between the two wikis and keep redundancy to a minimum, and it became a much bigger problem than we had anticipated.  So the idea has been shelved until SW gets a little bigger, and it won't hurt SW as much if time was taken away from it for another focus.  [[User:Procyon|Procyon]] 10:11, 9 April 2007 (CDT)
== Diablo 2 ==
I was thinking that the stuff that comes standard in D2 under the regular d2 guide, and the final act V under LoD, since it isn't really part of the original game.  If there are major changes to gameplay (secret areas or items earlier) that would go in a sidebar. -- [[User:Prod|Prod]] ([[User talk:Prod|Talk]]) 19:35, 10 April 2007 (CDT)
:Hmm...I had though you moved /Act V from LoD to D2 (stupid roman numerals >.<).  All the same, I would suggest rearranging both tocs so that the d2 toc could just be transcluded to the LoD toc.  Saves having to update both toc's.  There's some guide around somewhere that already does that, just can't remember which :P. -- [[User:Prod|Prod]] ([[User talk:Prod|Talk]]) 19:57, 10 April 2007 (CDT)
::Kinda like [[Diablo II: Lord of Destruction/Table of Contents|this]], but the LoD ToC needs to be cleaned up. -- [[User:Prod|Prod]] ([[User talk:Prod|Talk]]) 20:30, 10 April 2007 (CDT)

Hi, I've done a major rewrite of this and am almost done, there is one thing though, do you know what console this is played on, I think it's the DS but I'm not sure. BTW, I've got a few huge tasks to do so if I did log on to IRC you wouldn't be able to get me, I'm renaming all the images and doing the mispellings and it's going to take '''ages'''. I'm OK, nowhere near as good as any people I've [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VmUMk1OMXc seen on youtube] though, anyway I haven't been playing recently. I've made 1 song for myself and I don't have the pack but I've been playing on and off since the end of the summer holidays but now StrategyWiki takes up most of that time.
== Category redirects ==

== Front page formatting ==
Hi Notmyhandle.  I noticed you changed the layout on the front page of 1942.  I'm cool with it, but the fact is, it's not out of sync with all of the other front pages that I laid out in that fashion, as per the discussion we had on the Community Issues page.  I won't rollback your changes, but I'll leave it to you to decide if the page should stay that way or revert back to the way I had it so that it matches all of the other front pages.  See ya.  [[User:Procyon|Procyon]] ([[User talk:Procyon|Talk]]) 22:43, 22 May 2007 (CDT)
:The discussion was [[StrategyWiki_talk:Community_Portal#Interesting_recent_feedback|here]].  In fact, you were the only one who signed off on the very changes that I talked about making, and then applied to every page.  So now [[1942]] differs from the chnages that I took the time to apply to all of the pages that I created :/  The last thing I wanna do is change them all back now >_<;;;  [[User:Procyon|Procyon]] ([[User talk:Procyon|Talk]]) 09:37, 23 May 2007 (CDT)
::Hmm... :(  Notmyhandle, I'm a little concerned, as you don't seem to be tracking with this discussion very well.  Let me start from the beginning.  We had the discussion mentioned [[StrategyWiki_talk:Community_Portal#Interesting_recent_feedback|here]].  By the end of that discussion, we decided that it would ''not'' be a good idea to add labels to the TOC, but rather (as Dan and Prod suggested) to reformat the page such that the Continue Nav and the TOC were as high up on the page as possible, so that people would be aware of the fact that there are more pages to some of the guides.  I agreed, and decided to change the formatting on some 20+ guides.  Before I went through with it, I changed [[Pac-Man]] as a test case.  You were the sole respondent when I asked for opinions, and you said that you liked it.  Upon reading your response, I proceeded to update all of the guides in that fashion, which was a arduous but worthwhile chore.  After many of the other guides (such as [[Donkey Kong]] and [[Defender]] and [[Centipede]]) have been formatted in that manner, you changed the formatting for [[1942]] to something that differs from the rest of the guides.  In my personal opinion, it would be a good idea to revert your changes to [[1942]] so that it is consistent with other guides.  But I don't want to disrespectfully undo your changes since I consider you to be a peer of equal standing on this site, and you have as much right to the say of how guides should be formatted as I do.  I'm simply trying to resolve the discrepancy.  Please let me know what you think.  [[User:Procyon|Procyon]] ([[User talk:Procyon|Talk]]) 09:59, 24 May 2007 (CDT)
Sorry for butting in (but my name is mentioned already ;P).  First off, these changes are fairly minor, and don't require any knowledge of the games, so if any changes are needed, we can all help out.  Also, the previous stuff you did was a major reorg, so if anything comes out of this, it should be significantly easier.  I notice two changes that were made by NMH:
# Increase header level items below the ToC.  NMH has a point that having level 3 headings under the toc is kinda weird, they aren't technically a part of the ToC, though it does look better than level 2.
# Move the story above the ToC.  This one I'm not too sure about, and we should probably come up with a standard for this.  This actually involves two "decisions": where to put the Continue Nav; where to put the ToC.  My view is that the CN should be visible on the first "screen" that the user views (without having to scroll down).  I personally like putting the Continue Nav right after the intro, before story, since that's almost guaranteed to be on the first screen. I haven't heard enough opinions about the ToC to decide on that yet.  I guess it just really depends how important the story is.  A lot of other pages have the story above the ToC, probably because the Infobox is tall and a lot of whitespace would be left otherwise.  These guides don't have that problem due to the small ToCs.
-- [[User:Prod|Prod]] ([[User talk:Prod|Talk]]) 10:20, 24 May 2007 (CDT)
:::Thanks for the clarification Proc; anyways, Prod summarized my points pretty much.  I just think header levels should be accurate in defining a section, and that the story should go below the continue nav and above the TOC.  It's like, game info, continue to learn the game, read a little more, continue to whatever part of the guide you want, miscellaneus info, and more info outside of SW.  This then brings me to the use of [[Template:Wikipedia]]; I like how people have started placing it in the External Links section, since it keeps it out of the way but gives a good, standardized place to put it.  How do you like to use it? --[[User:Notmyhandle|Notmyhandle]] ([[User talk:Notmyhandle|talk]] <small>•</small> [[Special:Contributions/Notmyhandle|contribs]]) 11:08, 24 May 2007 (CDT)
::::I would especially like to nail this issue down.  The reformatting that I did took a lot of effort, and I don't relish having to repeat it.  Not that I don't ever expect things to change, but I thought that the matter was pretty much settled, and now I'm completely unsure.  I will start up a new discussion on [[StrategyWiki_talk:Community_Portal|Community issues]].  Thanks guys.  [[User:Procyon|Procyon]] ([[User talk:Procyon|Talk]]) 13:31, 24 May 2007 (CDT)
== MTG Cards ==
I really don't have any plans for them at the moment. As for your card, I'll need the following items to make it:
*Cost
*Color (doesn't have to match cost)
*Image (one that describes your personality, appearance or something, I was thinking of Nacho Libre for Ech :P)
*Ability
*Flavor Text
*Power/Toughness
If they aren't entirely ridiculous, I'll make one for you! Currently, I only have that one, and [[:Image:SWMTG_Edit.png|this]] bright, shiny (well, not shiny) new one (once I upload it, that is). --[[User:Ryan Schmidt|Skizzerz]][[User talk:Ryan Schmidt|Talk]] - [[Special:Contributions/Ryan Schmidt|Contribs]] 18:02, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
:You can get a few more options w/ explanation [[User:Ryan Schmidt/MTG|here]]. The Flavor Text is the italics on the bottom, just for future reference. Also, the image I chose for you is the black image with the red and the green on your user page. Let me know if you wanted something else. --[[User:Ryan Schmidt|Skizzerz]][[User talk:Ryan Schmidt|Talk]] - [[Special:Contributions/Ryan Schmidt|Contribs]] 12:49, 12 June 2007 (CDT)
== Your sig ==
I made a modification to the User template for an optional second parameter to give an alternate name (like in my sig, it links to my page yet displays Skizzerz). However, since you subst the template in your sig, the {{{2|Notmyhandle}}} is showing up in the wiki code of it. The way I see it, you have three options:
#Have a page with the user template in it, and another page that calls the first (like my "sig" and "sig2" pages). Then, in your sig, you have it subst the "sig2" page (MediaWiki doesn't allow you to just include a template, it automatically substitutes it whenever you save your prefs). This will give you more flexibility in the future if you want to have a complex sig as well.
#Change your sig to <nowiki>{{subst:User|Notmyhandle|Notmyhandle}}</nowiki>. This will prevent the {{{2|Notmyhandle}}} from appearing, but gives less flexibility if you want to change your sig to something more complex later on
#Do nothing. It doesn't impede the actual page, it only adds 8 more characters to the edit box every time you sign.<br>

Adminship

You know, I think it's definitely about time you were nominated for adminship. If you're OK with it, I'll put you up as a candidate for sysopness, for all the good work you've done here. :-) --DrBob (Talk) 17:58, 26 June 2007 (CDT)

OK, I've made the nomination page here, and it's just waiting for you to fill in a few things. --DrBob (Talk) 06:39, 27 June 2007 (CDT)

Re: Firefox Add-ons

Thanks for the note, and sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. SW was out again, or at least it wasn't working on my computer. Myth 16:58, 27 June 2007 (CDT)

SC: BW

The BW link can be removed from the toc completely, it's linked on the main page. noinclude won't work because that toc is transcluded on every page in the regular StarCraft guide as well, not just the BW guide. -- Prod (Talk) 18:54, 27 June 2007 (CDT)

How about that? -- Prod (Talk) 19:03, 27 June 2007 (CDT)

Sysopiness

Hey, congrats on becoming a sysop. You deserve it after the massive amount of work done. I'm kicking myself for not being around to vote in your election, I'm got to try to be around a little more often. Anyway, congrats and have fun with your new powers. :-) Lunar Knight (Talk to me + Contribs) 10:38, 29 June 2007 (CDT)

Don't worry, anything you do we can undo (I haven't tried banning myself....Rocky or Lunar might have...). Only thing to be careful with is Special:Import due to what you are importing and proper attribution. As long as you don't try to ban everyone, play around with your new powers :P. -- Prod (Talk) 21:48, 29 June 2007 (CDT)

My pleasure

You're quite welcome NMH. Unfortunately, my badgering is a sign of my intolerance which is really something that I should be working to improve in myself. Nevertheless, your own improvement here has been remarkable, and can easily serve as a model for the self-improvement that I must also make. So your promotion was well deserved, and I'm glad to be a teammate of yours. Procyon (Talk) 19:08, 29 June 2007 (CDT)
