The site, which launched in [[2005]], was originally created to be a distribution portal for comic strips on mobile phones. In 2006, the site was redesigned and expanded to include online comic strips and cartoons. GoComics.com publishes daily comics, editorial cartoons and mobile content.
 
Comics are arranged into feature pages, which display the current comic strip of the day with a 30-day archive. Other features such as descriptions of the comic strip’s characters, biographical information about the cartoonist, and links to other recommended feature pages are often included as well.
