About Dance Dance Revolution superNOVA

Dance Dance Revolution superNOVA (Arcade, 2006) is Konami's latest entry into the arcade DDR market. Marketed towards North America and Europe, this game attempts to bring the DDR arcade community back together by delivering new songs and modes for arcades. The game does not have a release date yet, but is set to be released this year.

Currently Known Information

This game is currently being displayed at ATEI 2006, an arcade games convention in the UK. Information will be posted here as it comes in.

• Skin: Bright red wireframe-inspired theme based on Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2.
• Styles: Single, Versus, Double styles all available for play, another unknown mode to be discovered.
• Difficulties: All Musics, Tutorial, Easy, Medium, Difficult
• Grading: This game uses the 5th Mix grading system, so grading will be less strict than games in MAX-Extreme in arcades.
• Over 300 new songs.

Extra Stage

Fascination MaXX is the song most DDR fans have been waiting for for the past 2 years. Since the last DDR arcade game, Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME delivered the hardest song on DDR by far, Paranoia Survivor MAX, to the community. Sadly, since that time, most of the good players have AAAed that song and all of the other songs on the game. Most have given up on DDR and decided to move on to In The Groove or other music games due to lack of challenge in the game.

This song is brand new and of course, has BPM jumps as the artist name suggests and over 600 steps, even if it is 2 minutes and 5 seconds. According to people on location, this Max song has over 600 steps.
