It is the first game in the The Legendary Starfy series. It was followed by Densetsu no Starfy 2, 3,4, and The Legendary Starfy. The Legendary Starfy, the fifth game in the series, was the first to be released outside of Japan, which was released in North America on June 8, 2009.
