The Sega Mega CD was called the Sega CD in North America. It played audio CDs and special game discs. This system is considered a faliure, The Mega-CD 1 was a hefty price. Sega then released the The Mega-CD 2 which was smaller and was cheaper, but consumers were both confused by the Sega 32X and comsumers also lost their trust in Sega because they never kept their focus on their videogame systems.
