*Decide the character you want to control out of the four bounty hunters. Steve and Billy use pistols as their weapons for quick firepower, while Bob and Cormano use rifles for wider blast radius.
**In the 2-Player version, the player will be taken to the player select screen after inserting their credit and pressing either Start buttons, where they can choose their character by moving the cursor with the joystick and press Jump and Shoot to make their selection. If a second players joins during the middle of the game, the character will be already chosen for them based on the character controlled by the first player. If Player 1 has chosen Steve, then Bob will be chosen for Player 2 and vice versa. Likewise for Billy and Cormano. If both players want to choose their character, they must begin the game together.
