Someone made a bunch of modding spreadsheets with technical info for Tactics Ogre The Knight of Lodis. Some of this data is not documented anywhere else, and it has correct info for many other things for which there is conflicting info.
Furthermore there are python scripts to rip the data from a given rom so you can check yourself. And of course you can write data to the game with another script.

Looking at that user's repositories, there is also a table file for text translating and general text editing, but it is incomplete. It doesn't look like he figured out how to import the edited text back into the game.
