Optional: Wikipedia

Can we make the Wikipedia parameter/display optional? Defunct companies like Hip Interactive/Hip Games don't have their own page. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 05:35, 12 August 2008 (CDT)

Then maybe they'll create them on that side :D. Company pages are only here so you can find other games by a good company, anything else is on the fringe of being in scope and should mostly go on wikipedia anywayz. -- Prod (Talk) 20:44, 12 August 2008 (CDT)
Ha! Just came to request WP be optional as well, but I see this has been entertained already. My problem with it is I don't think it's very helpful to link to search results, especially when the box says "WikiPedia has more on this subject," when it really doesn't. - najzere 23:25, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
Maybe we can help wikipedia gain some editors then :). Or it can be fixed to a redirect to where it should go. Company pages are essentially 3rd class citizens and we don't really care about them as much :P. -- Prod (Talk) 08:19, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

)": They're still citizens! If we host them, they should be good. But if the page links nowhere on wikipedia, that's their problem, not ours. -- Prod (Talk) 03:24, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
Naj just linked me here thanks to a question on Category Talk:Hit Maker, where the damned wikipedia link goes to the wrong company. Thanks Sega for naming your development studio Hitmaker 2 years after Hit Maker got started. That'll never confuse anyone ;p--Vizeroth 00:39, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
