If you have read this far, you have probably given up hope of a quick rescue. Or, perhaps, you have decided to say goodbye to the real world, and you are ready to more firmly establish your new tropical home. In either event, welcome to the exciting world of dirt farming! Foraging for food requires a lot of energy, and if you can collect all your food in one place, you can maximize your chance of survival by minimizing your exposure to the wilds of the wilderness. So grab a hoe, and let's go!

Rafts are suitable vessels for navigating calm waters, but they are ill-equipped for crossing a span of water that requires agility and speed in order to navigate hazardous obstacles or quickly changing currents. For this, you will have better luck with a canoe.
