Now that you've acquired the Morph Ball, roll out of the tunnel in the Ruined Tunnel and head back to the Main Plaza.
Main Plaza[edit]
Head up the steps near the Nursery Access, you'll come to a door leading to the Ruined Fountain Access. Continue through this room to the Ruined Fountain.
Ruined Fountain[edit]
Scan: Chozo Lore - Hatchling (NTSC)/Purification (PAL/Trilogy) There are two doors leading out of this room. The first one leads to a super heated room and without the protection of the Varia Suit, the heat will quickly kill you. Take the second door to the Arboretum Access instead.
Arboretum Access[edit]
Scan: Shriekbat Slowly progress into this room and you'll find several creatures hanging from the ceiling called Shriekbats, scan them for their Log Book entry. If you get too close to them, they'll fly towards you and explode however they don't take much firepower to kill.
Proceed to the Arboretum.

Scan: Reaper Vine You won't be able to destroy the Reaper Vines in here until much later, instead just fire on them and they'll retreat into the wall.
