May main video game interests are in the Classic games for the Nintnedo (NES) and Super Nintendo (SNES).  Lately I have been using emulators like ZSNES and SNES9X for the SNES and FCEU for the NES to make maps of games by captureing screen shots and piecing them together in Photoshop.  For games like Super Mario Kart I use a tool called vSNES that lets me load the save state from ZSNES into vSNES and from there I can pull out entire maps for games like Super Mario Kart or chunks of maps for games like F-Zero.  This allows top view maps for games to be made that never show you the level from a top view within the game.

Snesmaster

My main video game interests are in the Classic games for the Nintnedo (NES) and Super Nintendo (SNES).

I'm slowly working on placing some of my maps on Strategy Wiki.
