AlphaDream Corporation was a Tokyo-based video game development team, founded in 2000. It was formerly known as AlphaStar. As a second-party developer for Nintendo, it has produced games for the Game Boy Color, the Game Boy Advance the Nintendo DS, the Nintendo 3DS, and the Nintendo Switch. Some of their key employees are former employees of Square. They were also the main developer of the Mario & Luigi series.
On October 1, 2019, the company ceased operations immediately after filing for bankruptcy, citing sluggish revenues and the high development costs exceeding overall debt.
