Controls[edit]

  • O and P: In the ZX and CPC versions, you have to use these keys to make Snoopy walk left and right; you must also press Q to make him jump, S to make him pick things up, C to make him use objects (and find out helpful information about them), and M to make him walk into the screen when you see a path in the centre of it (however, in the Commodore Amiga and CDTV versions, you will have to use a joystick instead).

Snoopy[edit]

The world's favourite (World War I fighter pilot-impersonating) beagle is the protagonist for the game; oddly for 1989, both of the 8-bit versions of the game are monochromatic (however, the Commodore Amiga and CDTV versions are in colour). As mentioned on the main page, Linus has lost his security blanket and Snoopy has offered to try and find it for him - and to do this, he shall have to use everything in his power, for many of the objects in the game have multiple uses so he has to experiment to find out about their solutions. The game also has a time limit of forty-five minutes and will always begin at 10:00 am (regardless of what time you start playing it in the real world); you can see the game time by making Snoopy pick up the game's watch when he finds it and pressing C (or the joystick button in the 16-bit versions) to make him look at it, and it is also possible for you to see your current score by either making Snoopy go to the baseball field, as well as by making him pick up the game's clipboard when he finds it and again pressing C (or the aforementioned joystick button) to make him look at it. Although the blanket is usually hidden in the dryer at the Van Pattens' house, it is also possible for it to be hidden in one of the lockers at the school - so if you cannot find it in one place, you shall have to check the other one before the time is up!
