Boulder Dash is an action Puzzle game released for 8-bit home computers in 1984, and later ported to other platforms. It was self-published by First Star Software, with versions on additional platforms being published by JVC and Data East. It is also one of the few games that was ported to many home computers at the time, in addition to having custom levels created through the Boulder Dash Construction Kit.

The game consists of 16 caves, with 5 difficulty levels containing different layouts. The objective is to collect the quota of diamonds and reaching the exit within a time limit.
