{{Story|
“In an ancient time the evil mage Garm, using the power of the runestones, released a great evil upon the land. This demon, Skorne, broke free of Garm's control and released his minions upon the lands, scattering the runestones across the Eight Realms so that they may never again be used against him.

A long time ago, the evil mage Garm used the power of the 13 runestones to summon the demon Skorne. Skorne betrayed Garm, crushed him, and imprisoned him in the underworld forever. Meanwhile, Skorne, now free from the underworld himself, conquered and corrupted the overworld, sending his minions to conquer and despoil as they pleased.
No one has dared try...
To prevent anyone else from opening the gate to the underworld, therefore possibly sending him back, Skorne scattered the runestones to the far corners of the world. No one dared try to gather them again. Then, the wizard Sumner called upon 8 heroes to go out into the world, gather the runestones, and send Skorne back to the underworld. Their quest would be filled with hordes of enemies, terrifying monsters, and great danger. . .

The object of the game is to gather 8 shards of a stained glass window, then entered the 9th word, called the Desecrated Temple, and defeat the demon Skorne. Once defeated, Skorne will be sent back to the underworld, where you must then go, using the 13 runestones, and defeat him once and for all, but even then will the world be safe, or is some greater foe waiting to challenge the heroes once Skorne is defeated?
Until now.
