L.A. Noire/The Consul's Car
The case is an abandoned Packard that has been dumped in someone's backyard. Right away this raises suspicions, as high-end Packards aren't the kind of cars anyone would just throw away. Head to the scene and check it out.
Jacobs' Backyard[edit]
Officer Houlihan will show you to the car, which it turns out may be diplomatic vehicle owing to the flags on the front of it. The Packard is inside a neighborhood stickball diamond and the tracks behind it show you which alleyway it came in from. Inspect the vehicle and canvass the area to see if you can find any clues.

After your interview, be sure to check the notebook on the bench and use the gamewell to get the location of the Dewey Bros Packard dealership. If you looked through the notebook, you'll also find out one of the contacts in there is a kid. Lastly, you'll receive a message that Juan Francisco Valdez has reported his Packard stolen and is at the station.
Dewey Bros Dealership[edit]
When you get to the lot you'll run into the owner, William Dewey, who will show you to the garage where you can look around. Over at the workbench he leads you to, you'll find some wrenches which you can fit onto the board on the wall. This leaves you with only the open space for the wrench you found by the abandoned vehicle, and you'll tie a name to the wrench. Check the license plates up on the wall by the workbench on your way out to see if Del Gado was stupid enough to put it up there, then go back to Dewey and see what he has to say.

Illegal Street Race[edit]
The race is starting as you pull up, so you'll chase after the cars right away. You're after the red Ford out in front, so don't bother too much with the other racers. They'll be trying to knock into you, but as long as you don't crash, they'll eventually drop out. When you run up to a police barricade, slow down and take the left down into the spillway carefully, as it's narrow and easy to overshoot. If you can't spin Del Gado out, he'll eventually crash into a train when he leaves the spillway and you can go arrest him.
