There are 16 tracks in Mario Kart 64 (not counting mirrored tracks).
All of the tracks are brand new to Mario Kart 64, although some of them are redesigns of themes used in the SNES original. For example, Banshee Boardwalk is an updated version of the Ghost Valley tracks from Super Mario Kart, and the original Rainbow Road theme has been used for this new version of the track.
Brand new track themes include Moo Moo Farm, Kalamari Desert and Toad's Turnpike.
