Mt. Coronet (Japanese: テンガンざん Mt. Tengan) is part of a long range of mountains that divide the Sinnoh region in half. Most of it is a deep cave, though there are several above-ground areas. The name is a reference to the word corona. This time, Team Galactic has headed up here to accomplish their goal of creating a new world. Of course, you have to stop them.

Before coming here, make sure your Pokémon are fully healed. Stock up on Moomoo Milks, Lemonades, and Ice Heals as the journey is going to be long and you will encounter another Blizzard which makes it hail and any non ice Pokémon will be hurt by it in battles.
Wild Pokémon
Also you will be fighting and catching the game's box cover Legendary Pokémon, Dialga in Diamond and Palkia in Pearl, so bring a Pokemon that knows a sleep inducing move. In Diamond bring at least 40 Ultra Balls and in Pearl bring 40 Net Balls which can be bought in Hearthome City, Etetna City and Solaceon Town. If you are catching the Legendary Pokémon at night then you can bring 40 Dusk Balls which can bought in Pastoria City and Snowpoint City

The summit is a big area and it has alot of entrances to different floors of Mt. Coronet. Some of the entrances are dead ends but have items in them and some of them progress you through the mountain to reach the top of it. The guide will take you through every entrance to obtain all the items and fight every trainer.

Go east through the grass and in a bare patch of the grass is a Full Heal. Continue north and climb both walls. On this cliff is rock that has a hidden Nugget on it. Climb back down one wall only. To the east is one entrance to 4F 1 that is a dead end for now but it has some items in it which will be covered in the 4F 1 section. For now go west and take your first left (before the stairs). Follow this path and you will find a breakable rock and behind it there is a rock with a hidden Max Potion on it. Go up the stairs next to you and go north through the western entrance to 4F 1

Climbing the Mountain
Back on the Summit
Take the entrance from Oreburgh City or Hearthome City. If you take the wrong entrance, a lost Galactic grunt will tell you where to go. Surf on the pool, then Rock Climb to the stairs.  In the next room, the wild Pokémon get MUCH tougher. Evolved forms of Pokémon will start showing up.  Head for the back of the room, then keep climbing.  From now on, Galactic Grunts will start appearing in the caverns, so deal with them.  Eventually, you will find an exit, leading toward...
Welcome back to the snowy Summit. When you first arrive here go to the southermost breakable rock and in the wall next to is a hidden Stardust. Follow the path north and through the grass and at the end on a rock is a hidden Rare Candy. Go up the climbable wall and go south to enter the entrance to 1F 2

The Summit
Pokémon found
No, not yet.  Out here, it snows just as hard as Route 217.  Wild Abomasnow can be caught, if you wish.  To progress further, go through the grass into the cave entrance.  Rock Climbing on the right will be a dead-end for now. Go through the short cave to find yourself in another snowy area.  It doesn't snow heavily here, but there is another set of paths you can take.  The cave easily reached leads to a big room full of Galactic grunts, but one is blocking the way.  To reach the Spear Pillar, take the entrance to the left (it might be hard to find).  The rest of the path is straightforward, but be wary of the wild Pokémon levels increasing.
The Pokémon don't change in the different sections of the summit so refer to table in the first visit section

The Spear Pillar
Items
Battle the two grunts, then save (since several events are going to happen).  Cyrus, using the Red Chain, summons Dialga (Diamond) or Palkia (Pearl).  Go forward and Mars and Jupiter challenge you (to slow down you efforts).  Luckily, you rival shows up to help.
* Stardust (hidden) - in wall behind a breakable rock south of entrance to 4F 1
* Rare Candy (hidden) - on a rock north of entrance to 1F 2

After you beat them, Dialga/Palkia starts the job of destroying the world. However, Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf come and stop it, breaking the Red Chain in the process. Your rival heals you, and Cyrus tries to take his vengeance on you.

After Team Galactic leaves, you friend and Professor Rowan come and tell you to help the Pokémon standing there. Save and get in a battle with Dialga or Palkia.
This floor is actually the way to exit Mt. Coronet which is blocked by a Galactic Grunt who claims to be lost. You are coming here now to fight the Galactic Grunts before they vanish when you complete the other events later on. Once you are done with all the events in Mt. Coronet the exit wont be blocked and it will take you to the northern section of 1F 1 and will have exits to the east and west of Route 211. You might as well collect the items while you are here.

{| prettytable
Go north of the exit to the Summit and you will fight a Galactic Grunt. Go down the climbable wall and continue east then go up the stairs to the right. Right next to the stairs in the wall next to a breakable rock is a hidden Max Ether. Go west and up the next stairs then go east to the rock which has a Big Mushroom on it. Go back down both stairs and go north to find the next Galactic Grunt. Continue north to fight another Galactic Grunt. Continue west and in the wall behind a breakable rock before the stairs is a hidden Full Restore. Go down both stairs to the south and in the wall next to the second stairs is a hidden Nugget. Continue south and go down the climbable wall and up the stairs to the south follow the path until you see a big rock. On the small rock north of this big rock is a hidden Rare Candy. On the rock on the ledge southeast of the Rare Candy is a hidden Revive. That's it for 1F 2 for now so head back to the Summit.

Here you your last rodeo on the Summit and now you will be heading to the entrance to resume climbing the mountain.
North of the entrance to 1F, you will climb a wall to go west. Continue west then go down the stairs and then go down both stairs to your left and go up the stairs after them. Next to the last stairs on a rock is a hidden TinyMushroom. To the west you will see the cave entrance to 4F 3 and more stairs. Go down the stairs and down the stairs after that then go all the way east to find a rock with a hidden Big Mushroom on it. Head back to the entrance to 4F 3 and go through it.

This floor is relatively small and straight foward compared to the other floors. It only has one hidden TinyMushroom on the second rock and wild Pokémon. Just follow the path to get to the stairs to 5F.

This is the final floor before you reach Spear Pillar! This was quite the climb and adventure and it's appropriate that this floor only has one Galactic Grunt in it to battle. Just follow the path and she will be in your way. After her then head north and go through the entrance to Spear Pillar.

Cyrus uses the Red Chain to pry open a portal to another dimension and summons Dialga (Diamond) or Palkia (Pearl) to use their power. Dialga or Palkia then starts using their power and starts to destroy the world. Cyrus then says that this world cant be molded into the world that he wants so he must destroy it to create a new one where he is the ruler/deity of it.
Before you move forward further, double check that you have the right order for your Pokémon as you will face Commanders Mars and Jupiter then Cyrus right after with no break in between
After the cutscenes go forward and Mars a will challenge you to get her revenge and then Jupiter says she will be next. Barry shows up and says to not start the party without him so the battle becomes a Multi Battle with Barry versus the two commanders.
Barry now has a full team of 6 Pokémon. He starts out with Munchlax who knows Screech and Body Slam which is actually a good combo. Barry's starter Pokémon is also fully evolved finally.
Both commanders have Bronzor which can easily be beaten by Fire Type moves or if you want your beginning Pokémon to stay in line with Cyrus' battle then use a Luxray that knows Crunch (one of the best Dark Type moves). They also both have Golbat which you can beat with an Ice Type Pokémon that knows Blizzard, can hit both Golbats in the same attack phase. Their last Pokémon can be a little tricky and it depends on what Pokémon Barry sends out next. If he sends out Staraptor then send out a Ground type that knows Earthquake to kill the Skuntank first. If he sends out any other Pokémon then send out a Fighting Type to take out Purugly first.

After you beat them, Barry will heal your Pokémon and say that its your show now.
Dialga/Palkia starts to create a new galaxy but Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf come and stop it, breaking the Red Chain in the process. Cyrus says be will capture the Lake Guardians again to make a new Red Chain then tries to take his vengeance out on you by battling you.

After you beat Cyrus he questions what your ultimate is and says that he is not giving up and he will come back. Aftet that Lucas/Dawn and Professor Rowan come and Rowan tells you that he doesn't know if Dialga/Palkia is mad or upset but its waiting to challenge you. Lucas/Dawn says that he ran into Barry who said he entrusted you to help the Legendary Pokémon and Lucas now entrusts you as well. Save, heal your Pokémon and get in a battle with Dialga or Palkia.
Legendary Pokémon battle
Don't waste your Master Ball on catching Dialga/Palkia as they have a high catch rate!
Dialga is a level 47 Steel/Dragon type Pokémon that knows Metal Claw, AncientPower, Dragon Claw and Roar of Time. Roar of Time is the Hyper Beam of Dragon type moves as Dialga needs a turn to recharge after it and its very powerful. AncientPower has the chance to increase all of Dialga's stats. Due to Dialga being part Dragon its resistant to elemental types such as Fire, Water, Electric, and Grass and since its also part Steel, its resistant to Ice as well which makes Dialga weak to Fighting, Ground, and Dragon type moves only.
First cause paralysis or sleep, then get its HP low and use False Swipe to get it to 1 HP. Throw Ultra Balls or Dusk Balls if battling at night until you catch Dialga.
Palkia is a level 47 Water/Dragon type Pokémon that knows Water Pulse, AncientPower, Dragon Claw and Spacial Rend. Water Pulse has a chance to confuse your Pokémon. AncientPower has a chance to increase all of Palkia's stats. Spacial Rend has high chance to crit hit you. Palkia is only weak to Dragon type moves since its resistant to Electric, Water, Fire, Grass and Ice.
First cause paralysis or sleep, then get its HP low and use False Swipe to get it to 1 HP. Throw Ultra/Net Balls or Dusk Balls if battling at night until you catch Palkia.
After you catch/defeat Dialga/Palkia go past where it stood to get an item that increases the power of your legendary's moves. You can leave via an Escape Rope or going through 1F 2. If you go through 1F 2 and reach 1F 1 then there is a hidden Hyper Potion on a rock and TM02 Dragon Claw
Items
* Adamant Orb (Diamond only) - in the back
* Lustrous Orb (Pearl only) - in the back
Celestic Town
Go to speak to Cynthia's Grandmother who will tell you a story about the other games Legendary Pokémon. This story will mark it as seen in your Pokédex which is needed for obtaining the National Dex later on.
Team Galactic remnants
Head to Team Galactics HQ in Veilstone City and you will out that Commander Saturn was left in charge of the team's operations. He decides that extremism is never the solution and Cyrus fooled everyone about it. Team Galactic isn't a threat anymore after this.
Catching the Lake Guardians
You can now catch the 3 Lake Guardians at the their respective lakes.
All of them are lvl 50 pure Psychic types so using a Dark, Ghost or Bug type Pokémon will do you wonders in these fights. You can use Dusk Balls for Uzue and Azelf as they are in caves and you can use Ultra Balls for Mesprit as it is out in the open.
Mesprit
Mesprit can be found in the Verity Cavern which is in the middle of Lake Verity. Once you interact with it, it will roam off and be a roaming Pokémon. You can use the Marking Map Pokétch app to find Mesprit but beware that if you fly to its location it will move elsewhere. The best place to catch it is on Route 205 and Valley Windworks as you can enter and exit both of these spots fairly easy.
It's also best to catch Mesprit now as there will be another roaming Pokémon later on in the game.
Uxie
Uxie can be found in Acuity Cavern which is in the middle of Lake Acuity. When you interact with it, you will battle it. Paralyze it or make it go to sleep then get it to red HP then start throwing Dusk Balls to capture it.
Azelf
Azelf can be found in Valor Cavern which is in the middle of Lake Valor. When you interact with it, you will battle it. Paralyze it or make it go to sleep then get it to red HP then start throwing Dusk Balls to capture it.
After you catch Azelf head to the east side of Hotel Grand Lake to see that you can finally go on Route 222 to get to Sunnyshore City.

After you catch/defeat Dialga/Palkia, you will be able to leave.  However, go past where it stood to get an item that increases the power of your legendarie's moves (that are the same type as Dialga/Palkia).
