Puckman Pockimon is an arcade game, which was released by Genie in 2000; it runs on Sega's C2 hardware, and stars Namco's signature character Pac-Man as well as Nintendo's signature Pokémon Pikachu, but is not officially part of the Pac-Man or Pokémon series'. Both players must use two 4-way joysticks to direct Pac-Man and Pikachu around the mazes, while avoiding both the four original ghosts (Pinky is still depicted as a male in this, even though he was given his gender swap by Namco Hometek, Namco's American direct-to-console division, for Pac-Man World in 1999) and various other Pokémon. Most of the music and effects heard for this game were taken from Midway's Ms. Pac-Man although they were not originally heard on the Yamaha YM-2612 and Texas Instruments SN-76496 (as they did not exist in 1981). Also, when the players clear a round, they are shown a digitized photograph of a Korean woman, as that is the country where this game originated.
