Hi! I check this page daily, so feel free to ask me about anything, put in a request for a section, or anything else using the "+" tab on the tab strip.

I was thinking the exact same thing actually, you just saved me the trouble of having to code it :P. CP sounds good to me, get DB's approval and add it to common.css :). -- Prod (Talk) 20:56, 3 March 2008 (CST)

Still need FTP access?

I want to set you up with FTP access. I hope you're using Linux, too, because in that case I also want to get you SSH access so that you can work with our Git repository. echelontalk 07:32, 7 March 2008 (CST)

Sure, I'd love it! Also, I have Windows, but I have PuTTY installed, so I can use SSH anyway ^_^ My public key may be found here. Let me know if you need it in a different format. --Skizzerz (talk · contribs) 15:17, 7 March 2008 (CST)

Can you please contact me?

Have a question regarding your extension AuthorProtect on mediawiki.

IRC

I'm not a big fan of IRC, so I'm not on it much. However, I have MSN messenger and I'm on that more. Also: update your user page, Brawl's been out for a while now. :P RobJ1981 01:24, 25 April 2008 (CDT)

WatchSubpages

I've actually been meaning to talk to you about that :P. It is under the same license as MediaWiki itself since I copied the code from Special:Prefixindex, Special:Allpages, and Special:Watchlist. Would we be able to create an extension page and upload the files to the CVS for MediaWiki itself? -- Prod (Talk) 17:39, 21 May 2008 (CDT)

I was actually just looking at that. It surprised me that it was translated into so many languages :D. To satisfy the GPL, is there anything I need to say about where I got the base code? Anywayz, thanks for uploading that :). -- Prod (Talk) 18:39, 21 May 2008 (CDT)

Clarification

Hey Skiz. Two things. One, I left a note on the Super Punch-Out talk page concerning disambiguation that you may wish to check-out. Two, I have been (I guess unfortunately) been merging control pages into Getting Started (which I previously used to merge into How to Play, but have been getting out of the habit of using.) So... not sure if I'm just dead wrong, or if what you told Parrothead isn't necessarily true. To me it just seems silly to have such a tiny page of information that could just as easily be added to Getting Started. If it's a PC game with a butt-load of controls (like one for every key), then I can see it. Procyon (Talk) 17:02, 27 May 2008 (CDT)

k. my bad. Feel free to let Parrothead know if you haven't already. Also, you should come onto IRC every so often, it gets lonely in there :P --Skizzerz (talk · contribs) 17:09, 27 May 2008 (CDT)

Template:Main

I cannot believe I was testing it for nearly one hour and you solved it in a few seconds. 2 questions:

  1. where did you learn your wiki syntax to fix this? :P
  2. How did you find this new page so fast?

#switch in template help

Hi buddy. I know if anyone can help me, you can. I was trying to whip up a template that would dynamically color a table cell based on a parameter. Have a look at Template:Command List, and see if you can figure out what I did wrong concerning the "level" parameter. It's supposed to have an effect similar to the prototype tables that User:Ganj is developing, where the level indicates what color the first cell should be. Thanks so much! Procyon (Talk) 10:09, 24 June 2008 (CDT)

You rock, as always. Procyon (Talk) 13:02, 24 June 2008 (CDT)

IRC problems

I tried to access it here: [1], and the page can't be found. Did it get a new address, or is it just down? RobJ1981 13:35, 24 June 2008 (CDT)

My site is having issues at the moment. Try downloading a real client or using http://irc.abxy.org --Skizzerz (talk · contribs) 19:36, 24 June 2008 (CDT)

Permission letter for MMBN Maps

Hey Skizzerz, I found a Site that has maps for the Mega Man Battle Network games, but thet require permission to use. since you are an admin, is it possible you or another admin could write a permission letter to the site owner for the map use? I would do it myself, but since I don't have a position in strategywiki, I don't think it would seem appropriate. the site is [2]. Look forward to hearing from you. Peace Out, God bless. 1.13

Thanks for asking. They're had been keeping up with their quarterly release schedule up till around 1.9. Then it slowly lagged to about 6 months between 1.11 and 1.12. Hopefully Tim has a more up-to-date estimate :). -- Prod (Talk) 10:53, 29 June 2008 (CDT)

MPH Walkthrough

Could explain to me in a little more detail what it is that is needed/wanted? Lunar Knight (Talk to me + Contribs) 13:13, 5 July 2008 (CDT)

I thought I was fairly detailed already, but sure thing. First off, you need images. There are DS emulators you can use to grab screenshots, or if you don't feel like downloading an emulator and finding a working ROM, you can always google for screenshots, just make sure they don't have watermarks on them. There should ideally be about two images per page in the walkthrough, although with a game the scope of MPH, I'm sure that won't be an issue. Second, you need to use the {{ds}} template to add control images wherever needed. If you feel like going the extra mile with that, you can use {{Control selector}} to allow the user to toggle between whatever control configuration they are using. Third, the walkthrough could use some more detail in a few spots, especially when it comes to details of how to get expansions (also put those in {{Sidebar}}s) and some sort of method to mark one-shot scans. --Skizzerz (talk · contribs) 20:35, 5 July 2008 (CDT)
Alright, I just got an emulator and am in the process of downloading a ROM of MPH. Theres one problem. I use a Mac, and the emulator and most emulators out there are only compatible with Windows. I'm gonna have to wait to go over to a friends to do anything. Lunar Knight (Talk to me + Contribs) 19:54, 9 July 2008 (CDT)

Template:*

Is there another image we can use for that template. I think it would be better to use that star only for the cs5 stuff. I think FF7 had another star image uploaded that you might be able to use. Also, it might be better to get rid of the sizing parameter and replace it with a number of parameter, though who knows which will be used more :P. -- Prod (Talk) 15:51, 7 July 2008 (CDT)

Why not have both? ;) --Skizzerz (talk · contribs) 16:50, 7 July 2008 (CDT)
You wouldn't necessarily use both, and in keeping with a nice short and simple template, the most common usage should be the first. -- Prod (Talk) 23:06, 7 July 2008 (CDT)

Thank you

thanks for your kind message Travb 11:05, 20 July 2008 (CDT)

Good to be back

Cheers, Skizz - I've been bogged down with work, university and all that jazz. Just decided to start wiki'ing again... So how's it been going? Looks like we need a new Most Promising Guide to display again...  :-P--Froglet 22:38, 21 July 2008 (CDT)
