Template:All Game Nav

This is one of the weaker games in Wii Sports, purely because it lacks the depth of the other sports. It can still be a lot of fun in multiplayer mode though.

  • It is a simple boxing game for one or two players.
  • The fights last for three rounds (or until a player gets knocked out).
  • Each round lasts for 3 minutes according to the on-screen timer, but the timer is sped up so it actually lasts around 60 seconds.
  • To win, either knock out your opponent or beat him/her 'on points' at the end of the fight.

Play Modes

  • Single Player mode - One player versus one computer opponent. Build up your skill level by playing this mode. Each time you beat an opponent a new one with a similar skill level to your own is selected by the computer.
  • Two Player mode - Battle against another human player. Skill levels cannot be improved when playing this mode.

Controls

This game is the only Wii Sport to use the nunchuck attachment. To control your player you basically need to imagine that the 2 controllers are your players fists.

Points

If a fight 'goes the distance' (nobody gets knocked out during the three rounds) it will be decided on points. The points system seems to based entirely on knockdowns - for example, if you knocked your opponent down twice in round one but he only knocked you down once, you won round one, or if you both knocked each other down once in the round, you tie that round. If you win a round you get a point and if you tie a round, both players get a point. Then the player with the most points wins the fight.
