Walkthrough

  • You begin in Zelda's chamber. Exit it and you will find yourself on the main map.

Shield Spell

  • Follow the road until it forks. Take the east (right) fork and follow it until you find a town. This is Rauru. Enter it.
  • Once in the town, walk left until you find the second white house. Wait at the house for a moment and a girl in a purple dress will come out. Talk to her and enter the house.
  • In the house, walk right until you see an old man in red. Talk to the old man and he will give you the shield spell. This spell gives you double defense until you go to another screen. Leave the house, leave the town, and get back on the road.

P-bag in the Woods

  • Follow the road north until it forks. This time, take the west (left) fork away from the mountain. On this road you will see one block of forest. Enter it and walk right until you find a P-bag. Hit it and you will get 50 exp. Leave the small forest and get back on the road.

Finding the First Palace

  • Now follow the road back to the mountain. Go through the forest to the east of the road and you will find the opening to a cave. Enter it.
  • The cave is dark but there is only one enemy and it's short. Just keep going left until you exit the cave on the other side.
  • On the other side of the cave, you will find yourself in a desert. A strange, pinkish desert. Go north and you will find the first palace. It looks like a Roman building. Enter it.

The First Palace

  • Once you are in the palace, proceed left until you find an elevator. Get on it and go downward.
  • At the bottom. Walk left until you find a key. Hit the key with your sword to take it. Walk back right until you reach the elevator.
  • Once back at the elevator, walk right until you reach a locked door. Walk into it to to unlock it.
  • Keep walking right. You will find an elevator. Skip it for now and keep walking right until you find another elevator. Use it to go up. (note: to the right there is fairy that will heal you once.)
  • At the top, go right and you will find a key. Take the key and keep going right until you find another key. Take the key and go back to the elevator. (note: if you hit the statue near the key with your sword, it will give you a mana recharge potion, do this if you need it.)
  • Go back down the elevator and go to the elevator I told you to skip. Use it to go down.
  • Go left until you find a bridge. Be careful here, the bridge will decay as you walk across it. You can get the p-bag on it by squatting to hit it, and then jumping forward. Do this and exit the screen to the left.
  • Go left until you find a red creature throwing maces. Kill it and it will drop a p-bag worth 200 exp.
  • Keep going left until you find a locked door. Unlock it, go through it, and get the candle. (The candle will light up caves when you go through them.) Go back to the elevator and go up.
  • Go right to the other elevator and go down.
  • Go right until you find the boss: a horse in red armor. To beat him, time your jumps between his mace swings and hit him in the head. Beat him and take the key that drops after he explodes.
  • Go right, unlock the door with the key, and jump up on the platform with the statue. Link will place a stone in a hole. After this, go right and exit the palace where the statue of the knight is.
