Videos don't play[edit]
At the start the cinematics will play. If you don't see any videos, try turning off antialiasing. If that doesn't work, open gothic.ini in the system folder and change scaleVideos to 0. If you install the RAD Video Tools you can also watch the videos directly from the installation directory.
Can't use beds/rune tables/anvils/etc[edit]
As described/experienced by a player on [1]:
"For some reason the menus no longer appear when I try to use an anvil, alchemy table or rune table (for that matter, no menu appears when I try to use a bed either!). I have all this red hot steel and I can't make anything but the steel still disappears from my inventory when I use an anvil, even though the menu never pops up."
The problem is a broken savegame file. The exact cause is unknown and multiple causes may exist. In addition to the problems described, NPCs also have to be "used" twice instead of once before the dialog begins. The problem might be that Nameless is somehow stuck in dialog mode without actually being in a dialog.
The best solution is to try an earlier savegame. If that's not an option, a partial solution is to activate Marvin-mode (open stat screen, enter "marvin", close stat screen) and press F2 to open the console. Now enter the following:
hero export myhero hero import myhero
"myhero" can be anything, it's just a filename. Disable Marvin-mode again by opening the stat screen, entering "42" and closing the stat screen again. Now you can use beds/anvils/rune tables/etc again as long as the game is running. However, if you save your game the save will still be broken. So you have to export/import every single time you load a broken savegame.
It's possible the bug eventually resolves itself if you keep playing with the above solution (or by not using beds/anvils/etc), but it's still unknown how.
