Need for Speed: Nitro is the fourteenth installment in the Need for Speed series. It was announced in January 2009 as part of a three-game announcement that included Need for Speed: Shift and Need for Speed: World. In contrast to Need for Speed: Shift, Nitro is the first game from the ground up to be made exclusively for the Wii and Nintendo DS. Nitro incorporates Burnout's drifting style and the use of nitrous hence the title of the game. Even though there isn't any online support, there is a multiplayer mode and a co-op racing mode for the first time. The Wii console has five control set-ups available for you to use.
