Preload buttons[edit]

The preload buttons.

In order to keep pages on the wiki neat and uniform, we employ certain formatting and templates to help us accomplish this. When creating a new page, please use one of the preload buttons located above the edit text box, which will insert the needed templates and formatting for you. Thanks for keeping the wiki organized! — Procyon 03:14, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

Okay I will try and thank you. --Gunnerontharun22 03:18, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

Testing[edit]

Your test edit on Call of Duty: Black Ops/Weapons worked and has been deleted. If you wish to test out the system and wiki markup, please use the sandbox instead. Thanks for understanding! — Procyon 03:16, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

The two best ways to get started[edit]

The best advice that I can give to you is to read our StrategyWiki Guide. It goes through everything on how to make to a page to using some of our templates, as well as basic wiki format. Believe me, we put a LOT of time in to that thing to make it easier for new users like you to jump in. However, the other possibility is to find a page that has some feature or idea that you would like to replicate, and click the edit button so that you can see what that page looks like in wiki format. For example, you wanted to make a weapons page, so you could look at Halo: Combat Evolved/Weapons for some ideas. The one thing that you should avoid, it just creating lists, as that doesn't help people very much. Don't just mention that an M-16 is in a game, talk about what it's good for, and when it's not such a good choice, and what weapons might be better alternatives in those situations. Good luck. I think I will just stick to outlines. and ty for the tips. --Gunnerontharun22 04:08, 17 February 2012 (UTC)
