Welcome to StrategyWiki![edit]

Hello Sarkella! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide or ask a sysop, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the forums. To keep up-to-date with the goings on of the wiki, consider adding the noticeboard to your watchlist.

Please remember to sign your name when leaving comments on talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! — Procyon 03:10, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

Image categorisation[edit]

When uploading images, please make sure to categorise them using the correct image categories and the guide-specific category, i.e. [[Category:Game Name images]]. Please see our image policy for more details. Thanks for helping to keep our images neat! — Procyon 03:10, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

In the case of your recent uploads, the correct categories to add would be: [[Category:The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time images]] and [[Category:Screenshots]]. Thanks again, this helps us out a lot. Procyon 03:10, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
Hi Sarkella, thank you so much for adding the categories to the images, we appreciate it. Just for future reference, if you happen to upload an image and forget to include the categories, you don't need to re-upload the image. You can actually edit the description of an image just the same way you can edit the contents of a page. Just go to the image page and click edit, and you can add the categories into the description. Thanks for helping us improve the OoT guide! Procyon 04:27, 6 January 2015 (UTC)

Easier editing[edit]

The Show preview button (right next to the Save page button) lets you see how your changes will look before saving the page. You can use Show preview as many times as you like until you get the page how you want it. You can also edit the whole page at one time, as opposed to by section, by clicking the Edit tab at the top of the page. Hopefully these little shortcuts will make it easier for you to get the desired result when you're editing, and save you a little time. Thanks for working on the wiki! — Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 17:13, 6 January 2015 (UTC)

Prettytable template[edit]

Hi Sarkella. I noticed that you were checking out table markup formats. While you are by no means required to use it, we have a template for table formats that we use extensively throughout the site, {{Prettytable}}. So if you do:

{| {{prettytable|notwide=1}}
! One || Two
|-
| One || Two
|-
| One || Two
|}

you'll get:

One Two
One Two
One Two

If you leave out the notwide parameter, the table will fill the width of the page. There are a couple of other parameters, like float or sortable, which you can read about on the template's page. Again, you're not required to use it, but we encourage it for simple or basic tables. Just a heads up. Procyon 23:58, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
