The introduction gets right into the action. At the very beginning, you're controlling an ex-SOLDIER, now employed by AVALANCHE, and you learn to use the combat interface. The first few MPs are not too difficult to deal with; just hit them with regular attacks. The manual gives a lot of interesting tidbits on how to fight, obviously, but it isn't very difficult. Choose "Attack" and then the bad guy, and after a few hits the enemy dies.
