Another method is to use Lucca, Marle, and Crono, all with level two elemental spells, and continuously flip-flop the elemental damage type. Since their copycat ability counts as a turn, they will spend their time doing that instead of attacking. This method works best with fast characters, so if these are your main characters, boost them with spare speed tabs (don't waste any on Crono, since he will max out his speed as he levels), this battle will go much smoother. Do note that one will have to make sure to attack in a rhythm, so that the Golems can't get a non copy turn in, as the battle gauges fill make sure you'll be able to a attack with another character before the golems have a chance. To help with this method equipping studs to reduce MP cost, or magic boosting items is a must for a lower level party. In all likelihood the Golems will hit the characters with Iron Ball before they can attack, this is normal, and healing isn't needed with practice with this method; unless one is concerned that a character won't be getting experience if the burp attack kills a character, although this is unlikely.

;With Crono, Ayla, Robo

You can utilize their copycat ability as a strength for your party here. Prior to the fight, change your armor to White Plate/Mail and White Vest on Crono and whichever of Ayla/Robo has the lower magic defense. Have Crono use Luminaire and Robo use Shock/Electrocute. This will cause the Golems to continually use Lighting 2, which two of your party members will heal from. Ayla should Charm the magic tabs and use Kiss/potions to keep up the health of whoever does not have the Light absorb armor on. The Golems will last about 3-4 rounds this method and your party will barely take any damage.
