:I agree on having quests on the explorable/outpost pages but I think that missions and primary quests should be separate. This would work well in the Prophecies ToC as you could use the right column for the missions and the primary quests. Nightfall missions can just have "(mission)" added to the end of the page name. On the region pages I think we should go into detail about the enemy groups and ways to counter them. I was thinking for skills that we should list them by profession then by requirement and maybe an extra section about elite skills but I'm not too sure if we should add extra pages for the PvP versions of skills.--The preceding signed comment was added by Rocky (talk • contribs). 16:56, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

MMOG?

There's been plenty of discussion online as to whether Guild Wars constitutes a "real" MMOG or not; for ease of finding it, I'd keep it in the MMOG category myself - it's better for end users if they find it under a debated section of the Wiki than not at all. --aniki21 06:49, 18 January 2006 (PST)

 • Guild Wars is a MMOG. I can't see it in any other category. :) --Hack 09:10, 18 January 2006 (PST)

I need some help

I made a bunch of changes moving Profession pages to Guild Wars Prophecies, but now I think that's just a redirect to Guild Wars? Is that right? I was able to make the profession pages off the "Guild Wars Prophesies/" basepage, but I can't seem to edit the Guild Wars Prophecies main page. I was trying to get the Header Nav to point to the Guild Wars Prophecies/Table of Contents, but when I go to "Edit" it says I'm editing the Guild Wars main page. Don't know what's up with this. Can someone help unscramble these things? Thanks, - najzere 22:08, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

Never mind. Thanks Prod. - najzere 23:23, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
Shouldn't the professions be kept in core Guild Wars as no matter which campaign you use you will still get them.--The preceding signed comment was added by Rocky (talkcontribs). 15:23, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
There are only six professions that carry over to all of the games. If you want Assassin/Ritualist you have to have Factions and if you want Dervish/Paragon you have to have Nightfall.--DukeRuckleyTalk | Contribs 15:34, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
Shouldn't we put those 6 professions into core Guild Wars instead of being hidden under prophecies?--The preceding signed comment was added by Rocky (talkcontribs). 16:42, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
I was actually wondering about that. Are those 6 professions "core" or are some of them "Prophecies only"? -- Prod (Talk) 16:49, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
The 6 professions are completely core, you can choose them with any campaign you have.--The preceding signed comment was added by Rocky (talkcontribs). 16:50, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
Only Assassin/Ritualist (Factions) and Dervish/Paragon (Nightfall) require a specific campaign. The other six come with every campaign. I almost wonder if we should just put all of them under core Guild Wars though? After all, you can use any profession in any campaign. For example, you must own Nightfall to play as a Dervish. But you can move your dervish into a Prophecies campaign if you wish. Plus, if we put all professions under the core GW we can link them easily in the Footer Nav.--DukeRuckleyTalk | Contribs 12:44, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Guild Wars Prophecies or just Guild Wars

I was planning to have all parts of core Guild Wars under Guild Wars and the parts under the first game as Guild Wars Prophecies. The official, and unofficial wikis, and even the main game page refer to the first game as Prophecies . Should we change the ToC to reflect this?--The preceding signed comment was added by Rocky (talkcontribs). 08:08, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Indeed. They didn't originally plan on calling the first campaign "Prophecies." That happened when Factions was released in order to separate the two as distinct games. I think it would be a good idea to split them up here as well.--DukeRuckleyTalk | Contribs 12:44, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
We also need to add Eye of the North to the ToC...--DukeRuckleyTalk | Contribs 14:58, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
There was never a game released as Guild Wars Prophecies, so there's no main page, meaning there's no ToC for it. They can be classified under the Prophecies name in the ToC (as they are now) but I don't see a point to setting everything up for such a minor distinction. -- Prod (Talk) 15:51, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
The official name of the original campaign is Prophecies, but was released as just Guild Wars. Guild Wars has now just become the series name if you will. Maybe we should have everything but the walkthrough (quests and missions) under just Guild Wars? Again, this could include the professions because you can use any profession in any game provided you own the proper campaign.--DukeRuckleyTalk | Contribs 16:38, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
I agree with Duke, include all of the quests, missions, skills under the campaigns but keep multi campaign things separate under Guild Wars. We should also make a game page for Prophecies.--The preceding signed comment was added by Rocky (talkcontribs). 17:05, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
We don't have main pages for a series, only categories. -- Prod (Talk) 05:58, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Technically Guild Wars Prophecies/Factions/Nightfall are all separate games. In fact, the only real expansion is Eye of the North.--DukeRuckleyTalk | Contribs 14:40, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

Table of Contents

I've overhauled the Prophecies ToC considerably, but I'm not sure how much I like it. On the one hand, it is useful to separate the ToC by region because it'll make it easier to find just what you are looking for. On the other hand, you end up having a super long ToC. I thought about going the Nightfall route, but I wouldn't be able to fit the entire thing on one line (so I'd have to have four regions above and four below). Plus, in that version, it is difficult to separate the missions from the outposts. Any thoughts?
